We all send our condolences to Neil Numminen this week, whose father
passed away Feb 24. He will be dearly missed, a man with a great sense of
humour. Feb Had a great vacation time on San Andres Island, lots of rum,
Spanish salsa and reggae music every night and good Columbian cigars. Ran
into Brian Vollmer the leader of Canadian rock band Helix and his wife Lynda. We had many meals
together and an enjoyable time talking music. April
We
saw Santana this week and what a great show the band was kicking as usual.
And on Apr 5, I was the featured guest with the James
Anthony Band at the Carrigan Arms in
Burlington. This gig is at a very busy location and in recent weeks guests have included George Oliver and Lance Anderson. I had a good time with
the Halton Blues Society and return July 12.

Ken Losell guitar/vox has
been performing for years and worked with an early version of Canadian country
icons Prairie Oyster. He also played with Tomcat, Captain Courageous and other southern Ontario bands. From Toronto he now lives in
Horseshoe
Valley. Originally playing folk & country, the band currently performs
roc'n'funk'n'soul'n'blues and original material from the Ken's latest cd,
produced by Ken and Neil. He stills works as a solo acoustic act and in duo and
trio formats. In 2008 they played the Orangeville Jazz & Blues Festival.
